never thought i would be so touched by annie.

santa brought londy annie the soundtrack for christmas and today in the car we were listening to it and i got a little teary. london had the biggest smile on her face as she sang along- knowing all the words.( her nonni has the movie.) we were belting out the tunes and it reminded me of my sis and i dancing to it in our living room 20 years ago. great memories then and now.

the abc of bri

A. Amazing friends! I have the greatest friends a girl could ask for.
B. Baking and eating the baking. Learned this year to bake for others and only have a sample. Easy way to drop 20 lbs.
C. Career- hair dresser. Starting to work at a salon out by me and staying at the current place. Expanding my wings a little, we will see if i soar or crash.
D. Determined
E. Energetic-sometimes I don't know where i get it.
F. Foooooooddddd. oh i love food
G. Great outdoors- I love them. Any sports or activities make me happy outdoors.
H. Habitually late to church. I can be on time to anything else but church-never get there early enough.
I. Interested in so many things. Would love to be so many things when I grow up. Painter, Pianist, Doctor, Photographer, Advertising agent, ect.ect.ect.
J. Jokes. Great sense of humor and I love funny people. But truly not that funny myself.
K. Kool and the gang. old music, new music not real picky on genre
L. London. The best thing I ever did.( Maybe a tie to marrying Brandon)
M. Meg. My only true sibling and we are best buds.
N. Natzi at exercising! I just can't get enough.
O. Outspoken!!!!!!! A little too much for most people. Also over the top and obnoxious-endearing don't you think?

christmas cards

christmas cards-they make me so happy. it is funny how a picture and a cute greeting can make my day. im sure i have written before of my love for the mailbox. i LOVE getting the mail. i love snail mail and going to the mailbox always has me giddy and hoping that there will be fun mail instead of the typical junk mail and bills. i love letters, refund checks, thankyou cards, invites and announcements. in a world of emails we forget about the "mail-mail" that and is is so darn expensive. so thanks to everyone for sending christmas cards-especially with photos. we all know how much i love the picture thing. right now the cards are plastered to my fridge and cluttered as it looks.....i love it.
there are the neighbors, family, the work friends, clients, current friends and yet my favorite are the old true friends that are not forgotten but rarely seen. it is such a joy to me to see how they have changed. how tara lynn grew her hair out, how much grace and andrew look alike, how kats beautiful son jonah is going to be a heartbreaker. i love watching the families grow. keep those cards comming!!!!!!!!!

cracked and a bleedin

Saturday night started off wonderful! i got home from work ready to relax with Brandon and maybe watch a movie or go look at Christmas lights. Londy was dressed in her jammies and ready for bed. she said her tummy hurt and b gave her some pepto. next thing i know i hear her in the bathroom and she is throwing up in the toilet. ok first of all... what three year old makes it to the toilet or even knows to go there? second... NASTY NASTY NASTY. the flu is the worst! well that started the night of throwing up every 10-15min literally. Brandon and i took turns sleeping to man the battlefield. Monday she was better but still looking like rag doll. Monday night Brandon got it. last night i slept on the couch trying to avoid the plague. Christmas is in 6 days people! hohoho can not get sick. i mean there is only so much prep work for the big day. Christmas eve is of coarse at my house and this week is quite possibly the busiest week of the year at work. I CAN NOT- I WILL NOT BE SICK- NOPE TRIPLE NOPE! my hands are bloody from all the washing and i have gone through about a whole can of Lysol, and bleach wipes. not normally this freaky but hey...its Christmas.

digital scrappin

after hours of playing and some serious frustration... i finally figured out how to make my own Christmas cards and how to digital scrapbook-doesn't my blog look cute? i love doing things like this! unfortunately for Brandon he never sees his wife when i am trying to teach myself something new. and thing like this take me FOREVER. but not bad for my first attempts. lets see what i can figure out for next time.
