im a fool in love

Im a kissin fool in love with not only my brandon but with my new favorite toy. adobe photoshop! i have had it for the past year but have recently been shown just a few new insights to what it can do. my girlfriend and i swapped photo taking for the family christmas card and this was just one of the many fun photos. i played for a while on photoshop to doctor it up----so........ i guess this is two artists work put into one. i have an amazing love for photography and taking anyones picture in sight. to me it is art- capturing the very essence of a moment or a personality. i spend countless hours searching the web for ideas and am always on the lookout for a new spot to take pictures. someday it will be my full time job... right now it is a side job and a passion.

week long halloween

the week started off with londys halloween party at school. she obviously wore her costume and got to play games, decorate cupcakes and herself with frosting if we are telling it like it is.

she even gave away a few sweet treats... i have no idea where she learned this :)

the next day was halloween itself. and we have a new tradition. my good friend lindsey and her family always have a big block party/neighborhood bbq on halloween and this year kari and i stole the idea. we set up camp at about 5:00- several families joined us for a mexican fiesta followed by a big fire and passing out of candy. the ladies sat in the front yard and the daddies took the kiddos trick or treating. it was such a treat to be with friends instead of sitting in the house alone passing candy. and all the trick or treators thought they hit the mother load when they got to her house and realized there were 8 moms passing candy instead of one. all in all a blast of a night

pony rides and dirty lungs

SEISTER is in town and night one we went to schnepfs farm. a now annual trip to pick out pumpkins and walk the corn maze. first of all it is a two hour drive from my house but i love going. it puts me in the fall state-of-mind. kettle corn, fresh squeezed lemonaid, spooky train rides, pony rides and of coarse people watching. london things it is all very excititing and got to ride her first pony! she has been asking to ride a horse for months and finally got her chance.

she thought this was so cool! oh to see the world through a three year olds eyes. i swear half the reason to go to these is just an excuse for pictures.

and there you have it

it has been ages since we have had a full on date. you know the kind when you get dressed-up(well kind of) do your hair, pick up the babysitter, go to dinner, sit on the patio kind of date. these are our cute friends Kari and Dan. last weekend we did just that. we went to the waterfront where i had never been! it is pretty cool- the stadium is huge and there are several restaurants and many soon to be shops, water features(which were down for the night :( and great photo op-spots. i love any opportunity to take a good picture or two. and my cute silly friends were up for the silliness. we had the best dinner at yard house and even saw a movie! those are the kind of dates that help me forget all the everyday make-me-crazy-want-to-run-away-from-home-moments! i feel recharged and happy. a date like that every weekend would be great- but then i guess they would not make me feel so good if they became ordinary- right?

october 1st- fall is here!

this pic was from last year but seeing it today made me excited for the month. i love fall! i think it is my favorite! bails of hay, schnepfs farm, the fair, pumpkin carving, trick or treating, Halloween parties, corn mazes, haunted houses, sugar cookies, soup and the start of all the baking i will do through the holidays! it is the kickoff to the busiest time of the year and i LOVE IT! whatever i can squeeze into this time of year. the decorations will come out tomorrow :p

don'tcha wish your girlfriend was hot like me? this is my darling friend jaiden-(yep it's a wig). last night we went over to her family's for homemade melt in your mouth doughnuts and good visits. i took her family Christmas pictures and some portraits for the walls. it was so much fun. i just love the whole photography thing! wish i had more time for it and the equipment i want to make it even better. her mother is the BEST cook and gave me lots of great recipes which might sound lame to some but if you like to cook you know how great it is to have tried and true- to-die-for recipes. thanks Kari! can't wait to start making those yummy treats!!
