my favorite friends

my favorite friends are comming for the weekend. now i have not seen these friends since new years 2 years ago. i am sooooooooooooooooo excited. oh the power of great friends. an instant smile to my face. there will be many laughs tonight!

the feeling of unimportance

i hate the feeling of unimportance! like when you have plans with friends and they blow you off at the last minute to clean house. or how bout when a client does not show up for a three hour appointment because they had a headache and of coarse their fingertips were broken and they could not make any phone calls. how about when it takes people 3 weeks to return a call or just not to call back at all. do people think about what they are doing? how it will affect someones life? do i really matter in their grand scheme of things? i think for the most part the answer is no. but im here to tell you I DO!

the pink eye

well Monday morning London woke up with the pink eye. we drove all the way to Scottsdale to see the doctor and get some eye drops. after getting home i had to put the drops in and was all alone. reading the instructions i thought i would die laughing. they say to gently pull down lower lid and to drop carefully into pocket of bottom lid. don't get them on the cornea and slowly blink afterwards.YEAH RIGHT! this is a 2year old we are talking about! i had to mummy her up in her comforter with her arms pinned at her sides, then straddle her and with all my strength pry open her little eye and cram the stuff in. i mean really- she is strong and i weigh a lot more than she does. anyway we have to do this 3 times a day for 5 days and boy that is going to be fun! can't wait til head lice starts going around in grade school! her mother the hairdresser and germ FREAK is going to love that!

its baby palooza

its baby palooza everywhere i turn. spring is definitely the time of year for big events. parties, weddings, school dances, baby showers and new baby arrivals. which- for those of you who cant calculate--- there are a lot of happy men in the summer months! but its funny how quickly you forget! i mean london is only 2 1/2 and i cant remember her ever being that small. i held baby bryce at church on sunday for 2 hours. he was so tiny and beautiful. he even smelled wonderful. within the next few weeks im expecting one niece and about 10 new babies from friends. i envy them and the joy this will bring to their lives. i envy holding them in the middle of the night, watching them grow old with lots of siblings and having family vacations with little children on the beach. kids making sandcastles and chasing each other around disneyland. i will not miss the midnight feedings and 15 diaper days. but i am so blessed to have london! she is wonderful and most of the time very sweet! so family vacations will include one of her friends or lots of cousins! (meg, brig and kristal- i am counting on this)
new life is amazing and im always shocked at how this little baby could come out of that body! crazy but cool!

small world

how many times do you run into someone or meet a new friend and have them be related to you or one of your closest friends? three times in the last week i have had this happen and they all have been new clients. how many times do we love people and not know how closely we are linked. it really just is such a small world!
