its done!

we did it and now it is done! after what seems like an eternity of discussing and car shopping we finally made a deal and got a new car last night. why does that have to be so painful? buying a house takes less time! we managed to escape without purchasing the moon "for only $5.95 a week".
i hate the finance office more than i hate haggling with the sales guy. i hate the "add ons". and now im rambling on soooooo.....
its a white altima- ours for 3yrs on lease. what can i say a lease just works for us. and it smells so nice and has no dents or dings quite yet. but my favorite part is that i can be done car shopping! that and it has a port to plug your ipod straight into the radio-COOL! pictures to follow

car DRAAAMA

i love cars but i HATE buying them! i love the smell of a new car, all the fun new buttons, cool dash colors and the sheen of fresh paint. i do not like however the endless hours of test driving, haggling with salesmen, walking around car lots in the hot az weather and haggling some more! so this time around when it is time to trade in the old and get some new ( thanks mr lease) im making brandon do all the research while i sit at home in the ac and blog :). some of you might think this is horrible but i can assure you he does not. he is not hauling me around complaining or having london not listen or climb all over him. it is amazing though how little you can get on a budget! this is the commuter car, the reasonable sized payment with hopefully some great gas mileage thanks to the $3.00 a gallon prices. I love laughing at the salesmen after they come back with payments bigger than my mortgage for a small sedan. they say... but aren't you in love with it? don't you have to have it at any price? and i always laugh and say " i never love anything so much that any price will do". im cheap and thrifty and way too responsible with money to spend $5,$6, or $700 on a monthly payment! NO THANKS! so we will see where we end up- but for now it is at home in the ac with my toes up :)

my weekends

can i just say how lame we are!!! every tues i get asked- so what did you do this weekend? anything fun? and do you know every week my answer is the same..... i cant remember! LAME LAME LAME! when did my memory get so bad and when did we stop doing fun things. not just dinner out and what not--- but parties and having people over. dinner, sporting events and movies. when did i last go dancing? im going to have to work on this.... or im going to start having to get creative and make up some crazy weekend stories, which depending on who im talking to might be fun too!

i had someone tell me recently that family is all you need! family should be your friends and you should want for nothing else. HAHAHAHA yeah right! i mean dont get me wrong the family is amazing and i love spending time with them but im a people person and i need my friends. i need my friends from work, my neighbors, my old great friends i never talk to but know they would be there in a minute if i needed them. i need desperately the friends in my life who have become my counselors over the years. im a memory girl! so many good memories with so many people. so to say i could make it with only family would be false for me... i need all of you too!
some of my oldest friendships are still the best. kat since 3rd grade, lindseys since well forever, hailey since 10th grade. now we are getting old, having challenges, and having families of our own. i still remember dancing around kats room singing to girls just want to have fun, screaming at the tv while watching a suns game at lindseys, and multiple trips to utah with hailey. girls--- you make my world go round!!!
