rock band

certainly a 80's rock song! jami and julie were singin their hearts out! as previously posted...i love guitar hero! i suck at it but i love it! well at a party recently they had a game "rock band" complete with guitar, vocals and drums. who would have thought that a bunch of 20 and 30-somethings would be so entertained by not only participating but by watching our fellow friends rock out?!! i for one was only an observer but as you can see... the boys got really into this. and this could definitely be a bribery photo.

the new place!

now before anyone panics.... I'm still where i have always been doing hair! however this week i took on a second job (ugh) and am loving it! the new salon is beautiful, the girls who work there are amazing, sweet and did i mention that it is only 4 minutes from home??? yes i have timed it multiple times and am still excited to time it again since the old place takes an hour and 15 min. minimum! it was a tough decision to take on more or to just stay where i was at. in the end a very good choice 2 days in town 2 days by home.

new years eve

Good friends and good food =a very good time for Bri.
Last night we went to the salty senorita for some great chips, salsa(mmmmm my favorite) and yummy dinner. And lets not forget the people watching! My cute friend April and her hubby Dustin went with us and I was pleased to realize he is every bit the freak about people watching as I am. I really could spend hours just watching the crowd. The night was full of good material... what with the holy jeans, side ponytails, sequin tops, old men, young frat boys, wanna be girlfriends of frat boys, and freaks and geeks. Needless to say the evening was a hit for me. I never tire of the new years crowns and stretch pants on girls who should not wear them and the young guys trying to impress them. What can I say... I guess I am just a cheap date:o)

new years

new years has always meant resolution- ways to be better, skinnier, smarter, more financially set, more responsible and the jumping off point to inevitably fail at all things i set goals to be. This year , however... I think I may have finally grown up enough to realize it is an everyday task to do better than the day before and to realize many, many, many days I will fall short. resolutions this year are to feel differently about these things,. I think my realization came the middle of 2007 and I'm liking where it is taking me.... to a healthier place!
