easter week

we had lots of fun easter week. we started with an easter egg hunt at londys preschool! candy and 3 year olds at nap time added up to a thrilling time for the poor parents who had to be with them :P

we colored easter eggs with purple (big shock on the color choice i know) easter morning the traditional find your basket and eggs around the house followed by church at noon.(you could literally smell the sugar in the air, sweet tarts, jelly beans and chocolate) the kids bouncing off the walls in sacrament was also a good indication we were bribing our children to sit still after the sugar rush of the morning. we had a yummy dinner with all the funeral potatoes, and ham trimmings as well. londy looked so cute that i had to take her picture (well pictures to be exact- poor kid has her picture taken so much by then end she was in tears) mom im done!!!!

you would think i was beating her here instead of trying to get her to look at the camera!!!

we managed to spend some time without londy for dustins birthday----dinner at macayos-baja sauce is sooo yummy! we managed to embarass dustin when we busted out with the durdge (sing the happy birthday song as bad, off key and loud as you can while other people get embarassed for you) we even tried cheesecake that was cooked in a pressure cooker! april i dont know how you do these things but you amaze me.

an eventfull week!

spoiled

so brandons parents were out of town a couple of weeks ago and we got their tickets to the suns game! Wahooooooooooo! i love the suns, i love the games live even more and mom and dads seats i love the BEST! this photo of the game is not taken on zoom mode this is just how close they are. wow i know! it was a great game and we screamed and shouted and stayed til the very last second! i have been a fan for years thanks to the boyers and the komars always taking me to games or simply watching them in your family rooms! now i can not name all the players and their stats ( not as good as you amy) but i sure love to watch them play! thanks mom and dad for letting us bum tickets from you whenever we can. its good to have friends with the GOODS!

making the switch

well it is official--- i have one week left at moments. after 7 years, a lot of amazing clients, being a part of peoples lives and their special moments i am leaving. this was a terribly hard descision for me and even as i sit here i wonder how i will feel in a few weeks. wondering if i made the right choice. i have been so much busier at the new place than i had expected and can only thank my dear friends and clients for supporting me, loving their hair and referring friends!being closer to home (4 minutes) being able to be there for londy and brandon more and lets not forget being able to work one job again instead of two are all such posative things also. in a way it is really depressing at how tired i got from working both places. it made me feel old and tired and sick. i have to remind myself that this from the outside looks like a healthy 28( ok almost 29 :/ year old) body but on the inside it is much older. im getting off subject.....

so to all my clinets who have been with me for years, stayed with me through dating, marriage, a pregnancy, a cute little girl and a string of health issues.... i love you and you are always welcome in my hair chair or just in my life wherever you would like to be :) THANKYOU!

family time

well we finally made it to a spring training game and i could not have been happier! great weather, amazing company and did i mention the weather was amazing? i had no idea what was going on in the game but i got to visit with krissi (my cute sister-in-law) and be outside. who needs any more than that?

chip and krissi were down this week for their spring break and for RC and Darcy's wedding reception/party/open house thingy. it is always so fun to see them and Brandon's family loves and excuse to get together and play games, eat and socialize. dinner on the patio was sooooo nice. good start to a crazy week :) love that you two were here and can not wait till the day you live close by big HUG HUG HUGS!

march festivities

Londy had a Field trip to a farm out by our house. her "other" mom and dad (dustin and april) took her along with their daughter chloe since mommy had to work. i was sure glad apes took the camera and got these cute shots of the girls. they had so much fun and londy even got to hug a cow. they went on a train ride, fed the animals, and got to pick their own vegetables. what fun! thanks apes and dustin for having londy be one of your own yet again!!!

just goofing around. Londy loves umbrellas and this was no exception!

we even had time to squeeze in a minor league hockey game. i used to go in high school all the time with thayne and hailey and the crew. lisa if thayne has not taken you you need to go. minor leaguers beat each other up more, you can sit on the glass and the tickets are DIRT CHEAP! so date night= ashtons, prices, 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 2 mr pibbs, 1 sprite and a BIG diet coke for $40.oo bucks. wahoo boys these chicks are a cheap date!

dance crew

so dancing...as you know... is a HUGE passion of mine and recently i have become hooked on this show on MTV- dance crew! i don't really have a favorite group but these guys were hot tonight. to dance on skates week after week is amazing. I'm with Elisha...i have Brandon watching it too!

hurtful things come in small packaging

if anyone has a three year old i bet you have this problem. this kiddo can be down right mean! her words are like daggers. this morning i woke up to ---- london "i need my daddy, where is he?" i say "he went to work but he will be home later" big smile on my face, happy tone to my voice. london proceeds to make face above and tell me she does not like me, i am not her friend and only daddy loves her!!!!!!!! then asks me for a cup of chocolate milk and to scratch her back (these are her two favorite things and the scratching would go on for days if it was up to her) REEEEAAALLY foolio? you think i want to scratch your back right now. enter mom world being hard and that whole unconditional love thing. i am not good at the whole- i hate your guts but get me something mode. guess i need to work on that hugh?
she has been pulling this behavior with her nonni (my mom) as well. and her nonni is her prized possession so i should not be offended... that and i guess she is three! anyhow to all the moms who have had days, weeks or hours like this... i think you are great and beautiful and the best.... so who cares what they think right?!!???

post 100
