its prom season and today kicked it off with one of the flashy, snotty, north scottsdale -private schools prom. this girl came in for an updo and proceeded to go on and on about how she did not want to go and how lame her school was. she was going with her 22 year old god brother and was planning on leaving to do alternative partying at his dorm room. she was mad because they had cops coming to the prom and doing Breathalyzers and car searches for illegal loot. she thought that was totally unacceptable and that that was what prom was all about- weed and drinking. i mean silly me i thought it was for dancing, and pictures in fancy clothes! then she told me how all the kids at her school are rich and there are actually kids there that drive bentlys and Maserati. now you can tell those are high class cars cause i cant even spell them right. but really---does a 16 year old need a $100,000.00 car? when is enough enough? i knew a client whos kids went to this school and they were considered poor because the parents were both ONLY DOCTORS! mind you these are some of the best known docs in town and they apparently are slumming it living on camelback in a 8000 sqft home. If that is slumming i must be homeless! i think i live on mars or in a different solar system all together because this is just insane!

being vain

so i guess its official and im as vain as the people i make fun of! so making fun of people and thinking you arent like them does come and bite you in the uh um well you know! : ) ill tell you what it is exhausting to get your hair done and everything waxed, keep your nails from looking like you chewed them and dont even get me started on the body. i mean really- between going to the gym and trying to have a tan so i dont blind people with my pastiness. THIS IS ALOT OF WORK! but do you think i will give it up and be brunette, hairy,flabby and white----NOT ON YOUR LIFE! if im going out im going out looking good!

my favorite friends

my favorite friends are comming for the weekend. now i have not seen these friends since new years 2 years ago. i am sooooooooooooooooo excited. oh the power of great friends. an instant smile to my face. there will be many laughs tonight!

the feeling of unimportance

i hate the feeling of unimportance! like when you have plans with friends and they blow you off at the last minute to clean house. or how bout when a client does not show up for a three hour appointment because they had a headache and of coarse their fingertips were broken and they could not make any phone calls. how about when it takes people 3 weeks to return a call or just not to call back at all. do people think about what they are doing? how it will affect someones life? do i really matter in their grand scheme of things? i think for the most part the answer is no. but im here to tell you I DO!

the pink eye

well Monday morning London woke up with the pink eye. we drove all the way to Scottsdale to see the doctor and get some eye drops. after getting home i had to put the drops in and was all alone. reading the instructions i thought i would die laughing. they say to gently pull down lower lid and to drop carefully into pocket of bottom lid. don't get them on the cornea and slowly blink afterwards.YEAH RIGHT! this is a 2year old we are talking about! i had to mummy her up in her comforter with her arms pinned at her sides, then straddle her and with all my strength pry open her little eye and cram the stuff in. i mean really- she is strong and i weigh a lot more than she does. anyway we have to do this 3 times a day for 5 days and boy that is going to be fun! can't wait til head lice starts going around in grade school! her mother the hairdresser and germ FREAK is going to love that!
